The SSG 20 is a Firewall/VPN platform that is ideal for small offices or remote/distributed locations. This system is complementary to the other SSG series firewalls. The SSG range offer UTM and integrated routing functions to enable a single box solution to Security and Networking needs.

The SSG 20 is flexible with 5 10/100 interfaces plus two I/O expansion slots that can accept field installable T1, E1, ISDN BRI S/T, ADSL2+ or V.92 interface cards. 802.11 a/b/g Wireless support is also available as a factory fitted option.

The SSG20 is easy to manage and offers a high degree of flexibility of configuration. Administrators can control Security policies, NAT, routing and other critical system parameters. Management is via a Web interface, as well as a command line interface (CLI) - this means it is easy to get started, but allows a level of control and system information that will satisfy the advance security technologist.

This SSG20 model offers 160Mbps (large packet) or 90Mbs IMIX (a measure of real world throughput) firewall speed, 40 Mbps 3DES VPN, 8,000 concurrent firewall sessions (V6 screen OS), and 25 IPSec VPN tunnels bundled with ADSL2+ Mini PIM.

The optional Extended key increases the number of VPN tunnels to 40, increases concurrent sessions to 16,000, adds Failover facilities as well as VoIP and VLAN enhancements.
